Corporate logo apparel, such as t-shirts, polo shirts and baseball hats, is a popular option for advertising, celebrating events and recognizing employees. The most common choice is embroidered apparel, but screen printed clothing costs less. Prices vary based on quality, quantity and the number of colors in the logo.

Typical costs:

  • Baseball caps. Custom-embroidered unstructured, cotton baseball caps[1] can be purchased for as low as $5.54 each if ordering 288 or more or $7.86 each for 48 or more. A structured, wool baseball cap can cost $12.69 for 288 or more and $15.92 for 48 or more. A screen-printed cotton baseball cap with one-color printing[2] can cost $2.07 for 288 or more or $4.18 for 48 or more.
  • Polo shirts. A basic embroidered polo shirt can be purchased for $9.25 when ordering 288 or more.
  • T-shirts. A colored embroidered t-shirt can be purchased for $7.29 each when ordering at least 149. A colored one-color screen printed t-shirt can be purchased for $4.24 when ordering at least 150. Typically, white t-shirts cost less.

What should be included:
  • Prices include the labor to embroider or screen print each item.
Additional costs:
  • Customers typically are charged a setup fee of $40-$95. A design of more than 10,000 stitches can cost $140.00 to setup. Some vendors include setups fees in the price of the items.
  • Customers who need a logo can have one designed for them, but this can be quite costly because it can involve working one-on-one with an art department. A more cost-effective option is to make use of a firm's library of stock images to design a logo. Corporate Casuals [3] allows customers to use stock images and lettering at no cost.
  • Additional colors sometimes cost more. For example, Acelogo.com[4] charges .35 cents per color per item if a customer needs more than six colors in a logo.
  • Nearly every logo design uses fewer than 10,000 stitches, but a larger logo will cost more. L.L. Bean[5] charges $8 per item for a design of more than 10,000 stitches.
  • Sometimes shipping and handling fees are waived, sometimes a percentage is charged. Corporate Apparel Unlimited charges $20 to ship orders $50-$200 by ground, and 7.5 percent to ship offers of $200 or more.
  • Rush orders. Typically, customers receive orders in approximately 14 business days. The Embroidery Superstore.com[6] charges an additional $3 per item to ship items in five business days.
